Egg Overboard!

LOL. I wonder sometimes why I even flip the switch on the stove or oven for that matter.

This morning as I was rustling up some chow (well, I am back in Texas after all) I was trying to fry up the eggs for a quick bite to eat and, well, I lost an egg.

As usual I am not sure how it happened but one minute I had the egg on the griddle, I looked away and then when I looked back it was sort of on the griddle, a lot on the burner and some egg goo going further somewhere I’m not sure.

Really? What I want to know is why did everyone else in my family get the cooking “gene” and myself the pre-made don’t-burn-it-in-the-microwave-or-just-go-out-and-get-a-bite-to-eat-gene.

Oh yeah I’ve been banned from two newsrooms from popping popcorn.

Back to not cooking my meals.

Welcome Back

I’m back on wordpress and here to stay. Sometimes you have to try something different to make sure you are where you want to be. And hopefully at some point I will have time and the energy to flex my dismal HTML skills.

But I have a master’s degree to complete and a demanding career and life away from the blog to tend too as well.

Today’s quick hits:
Congratulations to my friends David and Kelly. This past Saturday they welcomed their first child, a girl, into the world. This is one lucky child as I know David is tickled pink as it were to welcome a child into the world.

This coming weekend I am back to the Austin area to help my sister-in-law and my brother put on their children’s big blowout double birthday celebration. Nephew is turning three and niece has turned 1.

My nephew has apparently forgiven me for leaving him last weekend (to return to work and my life in Waco) and has re-invited me to his birthday party.

My master’s project question has been approved. However I now have to get the abstract done, committee pulled together and all the proposed work completed.  Perhaps I’ll make my deadline to be able to defend the project late this spring or summer. Cross your fingers for me.

Eye Candy: well I hope it’s eye candy to someone, clickhere to view some photos I’ve taken with my iPhone. Love having the ability to point-n-save a memory. Some turn out well and some not so much. But I still have the ability to create and save memories. And that counts a lot for me.
